Saint Greg’s Men’s Club
The Men's Club at St. Greg’s is a group that meets every other month for dinner and a short meeting. This is a good opportunity for the men of the parish to get together and socialize. These meetings bring the school dads as well as the men of the parish together for dinner and fun. There is no annual membership fee to be in the Men’s club and all parish men are welcome to join. The Men's Club is broken down into four main categories: service, recreation, social and spiritual.
Service
Once a year we have a toy drive Christmas party where we have over 200 people donate toys to the less fortunate. We collect and transport canned foods during Thanksgiving time to Samaritan House and help as needed on different projects that come up around the parish throughout the year.
Recreation
We have many recreational activities. Some of these include our annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament, softball tournament, Giants game trip and golf tournament. These activities are always fun and people have a fun time getting to know new friends.
Spiritual
We are planning to start an annual mass where the men of the parish partake in the mass and become involved in the liturgy. We are implementing a program where when one of the men's club members die we will have a card with a small donation sent to the charity of the family's choice. In addition, a priest from the St Greg’s parish always attends the meetings and is available for the men to talk to about any issues that they may have.
Social/Meetings
The Men’s Club meets every other month. This is a great opportunity to meet new and lasting friends in the community. Dinners are only $10 and beverages are $1.
