HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!!
The administration, along with school Board is grateful for each and every hour that you put in to our School and Parish. Each family is required to give 40 hours of service including re-married families. Single parent households are required to work 20 hours. These hours are mandatory and are considered part of your commitment to St. Gregory School. Any hours that you are unable to serve will be billed to you at a rate of $22 per hour. Registration for the following school year will be withheld until hours and/or payment is current. It is requested that each family put 5 hours towards the Parish Festival which is held in May. Commitment hours are calculated from June 1st through May 31st.
Reporting Periods:
These are three reporting periods.
- June 1-November 30
- December 1-February 28
- March 1-May 31
Parents should submit their hours worked using the school website link above. Just use the website link each time you need to report hours. Make sure to enter your family number, name, the date you worked, the activity and the number of hours fulfilled.
Verification of Hours:
On a monthly basis a report will be posted on the website showing any hours that have been submited via the web link. A new report will be posted approximatley the fifth of the month. This will not only allow each family to know how many hours have been reported, but also give you the opportunity to correct the report if there are any discrepancies. It is not necessary to continue to track hours once your obligation of fourty hours has been fulfilled .
How can I earn my hours?
Parents may accrue their hours by participating in, but not limited to; helping in the library/classroom, any school event, Parish Festival, 9 Alive Mass, sports, soup night, baking for an event (1 hr. max), scouts (5 hour max), the list is endless. Monetary donations may be considered as hours fulfilled. There are many, many ways we can participate at our School and Parish.
Administrative questions may be directed to the Principal, Tom Dooher . If you have any questions regarding the recordkeeping of your hours, please contact or email Pilarica Crocker . Thank you.
