There were many fun and exciting memories from the Yosemite class trip. My favorite memory of all of them was the encounter with the bears. It was a very exhilarating fifteen or twenty minutes. Those were also a few of my favorite pictures. We were doing a group activity on the bank of one of the streams when someone in our group yelled that they saw a bear on the other side. Everyone ran to get closer to them. The "mom" bear was a blonde black bear. Our entire group started taking pictures of the bear and soon after that, its cub as well! They were traveling together throughout the forest most likely looking for some people food when we spotted them. After awhile our group leader started to call us back to her because we kept moving closer and closer to the bear and it was crossing the stream onto our side. our leader was apprehensive about the bear, because she feared it would attack because it had its small cub along. We followed the bear for a short distance, making sure to keep our space from it.
The reason that this was this is my favorite memory is primarily due to the fact that we were the only group to see a bear on the entire trip. It gave us bragging rights and original pictures to use. In addition, it gave us an easy subject to write about as our favorite memory assignment. The bear was an extreme animal to stumble upon. This one was very special because it was a blonde-yellow color. It may not seem very interesting, but being that it was a blonde black bear, it was quite ironic. animals in their wild state is an alluring occasion. I would love to see an undomesticated bear again.
