Picking
Out Blackberries![]() |
When my class went to Yosemite, stewardship was incorporated in our daily activities. For example, when we ate we had to use crumb catchers so as not to leave any food for animals to eat. Since our food is bad for animals, making sure we don't leave food is being stewards for the park. Another part of the trip that involved stewardship was picking up trash that we saw on hikes and throwing it away. This helps keep the park clean and beautiful. We also did something that is extremely helpful to the park, we pulled out blackberry bushes. Blackberries are an invasive species, but by pulling them out we are saving the park. As you can see, stewardship was very important to our trip. |
