Yosemite
helped me both learn about nature and strengthen my relationship with
my class. I have been with this class for five years, but living with
them for just one week brought me closer to my whole class than I was
before the trip. Even on the bus ride up I felt like I was bonding with
my class. Once we got to Crane Flat, we had a few hours to just be with
each other and explore our surroundings. When we got settled, we spent
most of those two days with each other, either climbing rocks or
hanging out on each other's bunks. In Curry Village we were almost the
same way. When we ate, we always ate with different groups and we would
talk the whole time. We didn't have as much time to hangout with
everyone at the end of the day because we spent almost the whole day in
our hiking groups. On the trails we always found ways to amuse each
other and never had a dull moment. When we did team building, we would
all work together and communicate to reach our goal. Throughout that
whole week, everyone was able to be themselves, have a great time, and
learn and get closer to each other.
