Do you know what stewardship means? It's to do something or give back to the community. During my Yosemite experience, my hiking group decided to do a stewardship project. In Yosemite the delicious raspberry are native, but the Himalayan Blackberries are not. They are over grown in Yosemite and are taking over the raspberries. our stewardship project was to pull up the black berries and throw them away. We had just a shovel and a pair of gloves, but the amount of work we got done was amazing. My partner and I pulled up an awful lot in just 45 minutes. It made me feel good that our group made such a big difference in such a short time. Its so nice to do stewardship projects. It's an easy way to make a difference.
